American DataBank is not a law enforcement agency. Can you still take my fingerprints? Yes, as a background screening company, we have received fingerprint training from Law Enforcement officials and we will deliver the same caliber of service found at a law enforcement agency.
Please note , some professions or licensing bodies, such as the
Colorado Department of Education, requires that applicants only
have their fingerprints taken by a law enforcement agency. However,
many agencies and organizations will accept our services. Please
contact your professional organization or licensing body and
their personnel will inform you of these requirements during
the application process. If your profession, licensing body,
or other organization does not have this restriction,
American DataBank is definitely able to help you.

I’m
not applying for a job or licensure. Am I still able to have
a Fingerprint Check done?
Certainly. The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) grants every United States citizen the right to view his or her public information. Requesting a Fingerprint Check on yourself will provide you with a comprehensive copy of any criminal offenses attached to your own public record.

I’m
looking for a new job, and want to show the interviewer evidence
of my good character and lifestyle. Are you able to help me?
In addition to Fingerprinting, American DataBank also offers other services that may help you during the employment process. We conduct drug screening right in our downtown Denver office. As many companies are now requiring applicants to complete a personality assessment during the hiring process, we currently offer this service as well. Our Personality Assessment products can demonstrate all the helpful character traits and hidden talents that you bring to a position, including Sales Potential, Leadership Skills, or Work Ethic/Integrity.

I had a record expunged; why is it still appearing on my FBI Fingerprint results?
When you have a record expunged on the County or State levels, the court in question is required to report this information to the FBI. However, this does not always happen promptly. When getting a record expunged, American DataBank highly suggests contacting the FBI to ensure that your record is removed on all levels.

What is the difference between the CBI and
the FBI?
The CBI is the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, which archives criminal records from across the State of Colorado. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), archives criminal records from all 50 states. American DataBank stocks fingerprint cards and documentation for both agencies at our office.
If you are having your fingerprints taken for employment or licensure, your perspective employer or licensing body will specify the agency where you will send your fingerprints. If you are conducting a Fingerprint Check for yourself, you may select the agency that you prefer.

What should I bring with me when I come to get fingerprinted?
When
you come for your fingerprinting session, you will need to bring
a valid photo-ID, such as a Driver's License, State ID, or Passport, and
all of your required documentation. You will be able to complete your paperwork
